I have observed, in looking at the the postings, that a lot of photos are taken with the SX50 and very few taken with the SX60. I am curious whether the SX60 does not have the performance of the previous SX50 model and therefore is not as popular. I am thinking about getting a 50 or 60 so I am asking for opinions. Thanks in advance for the help.
I had a 50. Gave it to my wife when I bought a 60. I should have bought another 50. The 60 wasn't worth the extra money.
The 50 is good, the 60 has more Megapixels, & a wider zoom range, & closer zoom, I have the 50 since last year in feburary & its done very good for me as a bridge camera, & built in filters such as Color Swap & Color Accent has done good for me, the SX 60 doesn't have those 2 features in which I'm disappointed about with Canon :hunf:

You mention IQ of the Nikon cameras. I would like know what I Q is on a camera. You impress me as someone I would like to sit on the back porch, drink brandy, and smoke cigars and talk cameras if I had a back porch if I drank brandy and if I smoked cigars.

I have the SX60 as a bridge camera for ease of carrying. I've found that low light conditions produce a lot of noise but it could be that I need to pay more attention to its settings. The thing I love about it is the telephoto lens. It has enabled getting shots that would require changing lenses on my DSLR.
