water drop photos

I just started taking water drop shots, am using a sony alpha 230 with a minolta 100mm f2.8 macro lense. The shots came out decent but trying to get the collision of 2 or 3 drops to create a dramatic effect. Will I need the kit that times and releases the drops or can that be done manually? The lighting is done with the built in flash and one slave unit.

I have been working on this technique lately as well. Send me some of your results and maybe I can help. I manually drop the ink.

Thanks for your replies, my son saw the link a little while ago and has experimented with it, when I got my macro lens he suggested doing some shots and our results are good but not like the ones in this link.

Thanks Ron, that's another variation of expression have you seen the smoke patterns. Like canonshot said creativity is limitless.
