Candid shots of people because they always look so much better and more interesting when not posing.

Favorite thing to photograph and why: Animals. They will never tell you you took a bad photo of them.

Worst thing to photograph and why: Portraits/weddings. The list is endless.

I don't know that I have any faves or worsts yet. I have been snapping pics for awhile and at first I went for trying to get candid photos of my friends. Now I just try to get pics of whatever I can. Lately though I have been trying some Macro, or at least up close, and that has been a struggle because I can't always get the focus I want. But it is a trial and error process.(I figure I will learn it better that way.)

Favorite: Railroad equipment, (preferably rolling stock and especially steam locomotives) and old barns.

Worst: At least 40 years ago, I took a shot of a little boy sitting on a curb holding his dog that had just been hit by a car. That scene haunts me to this day. By the way, the driver was drunk! It's strange that at least three or four times since then, I have seen similar, unrelated pictures. I confess I have searched my soul to try to find why I and others like me are so d----d morbid; I can't find an answer!
