Help splitting one photo into three

I have a client who wants a triptych canvas array. The issue is I use one print lab and they don't sell triptychs. Her house already has some of my canvas prints so I want to use the same print lab so they all look the same.
My thought was to split one into three and then order three separate canvas prints, create my own triptych.
The only software I have is LR4 and don't really want to purchase software at this moment. Is there any free software out there that will do this or will LR and I just need to learn how?

Thank you,
Gerald

This might help you, it's for LR2 but should still do you for yr LR4.

Any tips on how to do this? Everything I find on the internet is how to take three separate photos and create a triptych. I want to take one photo, cut it into three equal portions, then print them individually on a gallery wrapped canvas.

You could post the photo or email it to someone and they can cut it for you. Send me a PM if you want me to.

As for free software, I like Fastone Image Viewer.

Check out the Bay Photo web site.
They have free software that does just that.

Are you trying to make it too complicated?
Can't you simply Create Virtual Copy 2 times so you have three versions of the same edited image. Then crop each to the dimension you need, Left Center and Right. You may need to be careful with your alignment, depending on how the print will be made, i.e., if you are wrapping canvas prints or metal prints. I also like it when there is a gap between the images, and the gap is cropped out.

tsilva had the right solution, just make 3 virtual copies and crop each one to show one third of the original. You can then export each section as a JPEG or other format as you need.
