Wow! Are they real or your picture has any trick?
I've seen these before....there's something just not natural with these pictures. Not very believable to me...maybe too much photoshop or whatever ? Just saying. (Look closely.)
I believe the are Maine Coon breed, they are that big
Woodsliv: I think you may be correct. The first one does looks like a Maine Coon. A series recently ended on either the Animal Discovery channel or Animal Planet called Too Cute. One of the episodes was about the Maine Coon. They can get really big, but neither the mom or pop cat were as big as the one pictured here. The other one looks like what my mom used to call Heintz 57.

I think the first one is real and untouched.
But since posting I've found the second one in a few different sizes, obviously manipulated so I agree with you. You can't see the mans right hand either.
Every January when I go to the San Diego Cat Fanciers' cat show they always have some Maine Coons. I want one. The largest one I've seen at a cat show weighed 22 pounds. A few years ago they had a 28-pounder at the San Diego County Fair, and Animal Planet had a story about a 44-pounder that had to be put on a diet because he just kept gaining weight.
I don't know whether the Maine Coons like to be held like that or if it's more a person-trying-to-distribute-all-that-weight-while-carrying-the-cat issue, but the people at the Cat Show often carry their Maine Coones like that, too.

Will you just look at the head on this cat .... he wears a 7 5/8" cap
Don't argue with him, let him decide whe where & how.
My son and his wife has two Maine Coons but their not as big as those. They like to be held and are very easy-going cats. They are also known as "gentle giants"

Your correct about them being Maine Coons, I have a nephew in Houston that breeds them. Never thought a darn cat would be worth $5,000.

That's an idea .... cat caged, in the back of a pick up, run the truck through the car wash ......
Drive 50 miles away from your home .....then run like hell when you open the cage and hope the cat cools down before it catches up to you

Don't give cat map or GPS
 Post pix of X spouse in cage.
Take them through a car wash. Be sure to stand clear when the blow dryer comes on.
Our anima shelter was trying to adopt a "huge" cat. Now I'm sure that cat certainly wasn't "huge"; large, maybe, but now I see huge for what it really IS!
That's what happens when you let them curl up on top of the microwave. Ever see Godzilla?
