One of my favorites.

You are welcome Artz. :-D
I was in San Diego from August 57 to August of 63--minus a couple weeks at Ord where they told me I was not for the army and one summer working construction in Colo. This looks like the the old SoCal car culture. In that period the custom car guys really impacted Detroit design---except for the Edsel which looked like a ski boat.
Thanks for jogging the memory.

It's mostly older guys who are restoring and building those old cars. What will the situation be like in fifty years?
What this clip doesn't show is the many smells of fried foods, heat, humidity, incomplete combustion smells, and noise from the engines. One of the rules is that you cannot enter the grounds with a car unless it is 1964 or older. People with newer cars cruise outside of the gates. Its a car show for miles around the fair grounds during the show. Easy to spend a weekend there.

We have a very good car show in Manchester, CT called "Cruisin' on Main" every August. Usually 700 or so antique cars and hot rods. It's not southern California, but it's probably one of the best shows in New England.
