Why by a Nikon for 2K and have to spend at least another 2K on a suitable lens if you are a hard core Canon man?
Gee, why do I ask?
Get a suitable lens for half that if you want a zoom....24-120mm f4. Even less if you want to get a couple of primes, the 50mm f1.8d and the 85mm f1.8.
The D750 looks like a beautiful camera. When I shot film I was a Canon man. Once I went to digital, I gave away my two Canon film bodies and three lenses and bought Nikon. Everyone to their own kick, but I love my Nikons.

Why are you answering me, you are not the OP. You are getting pathetically smart assed. Read the OPs post again and answer him bozo.
I got my D750 earlier this week and love it. The picture quality is stunning. I got it as a refurb. from B&H for $1775.00. I couldn't afford an expensive lens to get started in FX so I bought a 28-80 3.3 to 5.6. It's non VR but very sharp and only cost $55.00 on eBay used. It's an older lens but highly recommended by Ken Rockwell. In the case of this lens his recommendation was right on! Take care & ...
* shoot the Canon T5i and love it and am proud of it So far I don't have any gripes. I am only a beginner am am having problems shooting in manual mode. Other than that I just need to get somewhere where I have something worth shooting. I can't wait to get a macro lens and try shooting some closeup work. -Bushy
