Has any one ever seen a fire rainbow ? I'm told they are very rare I did'nt take this shot, but it's pretty cool.

It's a circumhorizontal arc caused by the refraction on the sun's light through ice crystals in the atmosphere. It's a pretty neat photo!

I have seen one. It is seen looking towards the direction of the sun.

That is Cool I think I have seen something like this before. Not quite so colorful as your example, but rainbows in the sky due to the crystals of ice.
This is a spectacular picture. But the intensity of the colors and the deep hues of the sky with such sharply defined clouds suggest post processing manipulation. Dont get me wrong , it is a great picture. We have lot of this type of phenomenon occurring in our part of the country but seldom have that vibrant of a display.

sun devils or sun dogs is what I've heard them called here in Kansas. Nice picture.
