Budget? Are you wanting to move up to a DSLR, stick with a P&S, or bridge? Do you only shoot landscapes?
For that type of photography I'd probably go for a full frame; either a 6D or 5D Mark III, depending on budget. Another less expensive FF option would be a used 5D Mark II. If Money is no object , then the 5DM3.
I shot the G series for years. Stepped up to a DLSR to get faster focus and longer lenses.
I have a pocket camera. Canon Elf for snapshots and the G series camera sits idle.
Sad really.
Thank you I will check those out :)
Thanks I also like time lapse so dslr is what I'm looking at
Thanks for the reply, yes mine has been dropped so had to fix it, do want faster and nice wide angle lens

Maptos, TL can run your shutter count up very quickly. Most that do TL use a cheaper or older back-up camera for that. Will your G camera take a remote trigger(intervalometer)?
The newer 7dmkll has an intervalometer built into the camera, it only needs to be set up in the shooting menu.
Most of the less expensive Canon dslr's need a separate intervalometer used with the camera. Good luck. ;-)

Google "live bulb Olympus"
Won't find a feature like that on a Canon...just sayin...expand your horizons beyond canikon.
