My first Air Show outing with Tamron 150-600mm practicing for RIAT next month!
Excellent work. Thanks
What is RIAT you mentioned?
Sarge69
Royal International Air Tattoo held at RAF Fairford. Outside USA probably one of the biggest and best.
Great shots. Looks like the '17 was having some problems.
Thanks, the smoke is all part of the show. The B17 flown was star in Memphis Belle a few years ago.

Great shots, I use a sigma 150-500 for my airshows , the tamron has high reviews, I shoot at 200-400 ISO , 1000-1200 and f8-16 ., depending on tracking ability and weather, I do not know what camera you are going to use , just track and focus ahead , and when it gets in range you will have a great shot, be careful of whiteout and loss of focus if you have a lot of white clouds.
Have fun!

www.lenferberphotos.comI just purchased a Lensmaster Gimbal RH-2 and may try it out soon, but I feel it limits your quick tracking ability on airshows to get that unusual shot.
It think for wildlife or sports it will be great .
Really pleased with it as well. I has it's limitations i.e. f stop needs to be around f/8 for best sharpness and if light is bad the iso needs to be ramped up. but for me its perfect without breaking the bank on a $$$$$ canon telephoto.
I try to handhold, its a challenge especially after a few hours at a show!

Really nice, I may see you at RIAT, going Friday and Rhyms farm Sat or Sun. Just got the Canon 7d mk11 and the 100-400 L mk11, looking forward to trying them out.

Great job!! I shot the Jones Beach air show last month with the Tamron 150-600. Handheld. I found it tough locking onto the moving planes, even with continuos shot. Probably my inexperience with it. I posted a few on here last month. Yours came out terrific!!
