I have looked through numerous sources and cannot find if there is a Metabones adapter to use Canon EF lenses on Sony full frame mirrorless cameras (A7 in particular). Does such a product exist and, if so, can you give me a name or model number of the product please? Thanks
I have seen these, but I get confused when it indicates "NEX". I thought Sony abandoned that nomenclature a while back. I just bought a Sony A7. I find the description confusing. Thanks for the follow up. It is greatly appreciated.

Sonys consistency in anything is terribly sub-par. The A7 cameras all use the smaller E mount lenses from the NEX series of cameras.
Thank you for your assistance.

Sony has both E mount (APS-C sized sensors in the Nex, Axxxx series) and FE (Full Frame A7x series) cameras and lens systems.
An E mount lens on an FE camera with result in vignetting, so the A7X series cameras sense this and automatically reduce the amount of sensor they use for imaging.

Sony is getting many people confused about their products. But Nex, A6000 and the A7 lineup all have the same mount, it is called E-mount. Adapters that fit Nex will also fit your A7.

E... and FE, which is technically for Full Frame E mount lenses.
E mount lenses WILL fit an FE camera, but there will be vignetting for some of them.

Be aware that focusing speed seems to leave a lot to be desired on earlier A7 series cams (up until the A7rII). The Metabones adapters can be quirky--sometimes the lenses freeze and you have to take them off and remount them. Also they do not work with all Canon lenses, and vignetting can be a problem with wider lenses. Also I am told that some adapters will not work well, while others, ostensibly identical, work fine. So research carefully the lenses you wish to use (check the Metabones site for lists of lenses known to work) and think about AF speed. Also, use only the newest adapter model--the series 3 are much better than the earlier ones. Maybe they are already on the 4, I haven't checked lately.
kymarto is spot on. Just adding that some adapters spotty for the E mount as well. The best one I found to date outside of the Metabones is the Fotodiox, chipped for Canon AF. The AF is slower than without the adapter, but not bad. With the possible exception of sports, would say good for everything else.
Not all Canon lenses work. Manufacturer can provide a list of lenses.
