Thanks for the info...can't wait to get started..thank goodness I have a wonderful mentor, friend, and teacher who has the patience of Job....now I have an excuse to take his class again....not that I need an excuse...LOL

I have a D90. Nikon really got everything right with that camera. It was a big improvement over the D80. I've gotten a D7000 since but not in lieu of the D90. I do photography with both of the cameras.
A great feature that Nikon cameras have is the fn (function) button on the front of the camera. You can program it to carry out a variety of functions. I have it programmed to AF-area mode on my D90 and to virtual horizon on my D7000.

I've had that camera for about 3 years and I love it! I think it's a classic. Never had a problem with it and love the pics it takes.
