Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy!

This is only the second time I've had to return something I bought from Amazon. The first time was when I bought a WD MyCloud Mirror. At the time I bought mine, the 6TB version was considerably cheaper than the 8TB, so I bought the 6TB. However, no sooner did I receive it that I noticed the price on the 8TB had called to just $30 more than what I had paid for the 6TB. So, I contacted Amazon and told them had I known the 8TB was going to be such a small amount more, I'd have opted for that version. Well, they allowed me to return the 6TB and I was able to purchase the 8TB.

Fast forward to this week. I ordered a new Case Logic SLRC-206 camera bag. Soon after I got it, I noticed a small manufacturing defect in which part of one of the zippers was not properly sewn in. Otherwise, I really like the bag and debated whether to send it back for a replacement. Well, I decided to return for a replacement, which I ordered Yesterday. The new bag will arrive tomorrow! Once I get the new bag, I simply return the first bag using a pre-paid shipping label they provided. I just need to drop it off at my local UPS.

Couldn't be easier.

Amazon is very good about returning products whether it be for a defect or price drops. Another company that is customer friendly is B&H. Every time I had a problem they would always help you.

You realize that you do pay for the return. Amazon takes the cost of the prepaid off the refund.

I've been dealing with Amazon since the 90's. Great customer service and return policy. B&H has also got great customer service!

There should be no charge for the return if it was because of a product defect.

That was not the case when I returned my 6TB MyCloud Mirror, so I could turn around and buy the 8TB MyCloud Mirror. I had paid $358 for the 6TB version, and as you can see in attached screen shot that is exactly what they refunded:
They sent me the new Hard Drive when I paid the regular price (free shipping) and they gave me a shipping label to return the 6TB drive at no charge.

For my replacement bag, they shipped the new bag (arrives today) at no charge and gave me a shipping label to send back the defective bag. Also no charge. Maybe this is because I'm a Prime member, I don't know, but in both cases I have not been charged with any shipping costs.

Love Amazon.com and Amazon.ca......I ordered a 70-200mm 2.8 canon L $2000 lens and realized I had ordered the older version, and wanted the newest version instead. They took the return 100% and sent me the newer version, no questions asked. Great place to shop
