If you deside to raft the Grand Canyon;you can do it several diff. ways. You can do a 6;8 0r 13 day trip. You can do6 days from Lees Ferry to the South Rim but you have to hike out a 5 hour hike carrying your gear. You can hike in from the South Rim whitch requires a stay at the South Rim the night before and a 5 hour hike down at 6am the next day carrying all your gear or you can do the whole canyon in13 days. You stay in Flagstaft the night before get picked up by a van taken to Lees Ferry jump on the rafts go 192 miles downriver get back on a van or bus and taken back to Flagstaff to your Hotel. If you can this is the way to do the trip belive me you will do plenty of hiking in the canyon. The cost ranges from $2500 for 6 days;$3100 for 8 days and $5100 for 13 days, but I have seen a 13 day trip for $4500.I have always rafted with Arizona Rafting or Oars they are 2 of the best.I have never had a Bad trip with either of them.
in 1998 I hiked down from the South Rim and ran the lower half of the Grand Canyon

In 2004 I did the 13 day trip. This is the best way to run the Grand Canyon. No hiking in or out .You get bussed to the river from Flagstaff and when the trip is over bussed back to Flagstaff. Starting out from Lees FErry.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great trip. At my age, I probably will never get to try this.

I know of people in there 80s who have taken the trip. You can run the whole canyon in 8 days on a Motor Raft.Very little hiking on those trips but you still get to enjoy the Beauty of the Canyon. Ck.it out at OARRS.Com. Thank you for looking glad you enjoyed the pictures.

I know how you feel. Last time I was there was in the mid 90s. Doubt if I will ever get back. :(
