I'm learing the technical aspects of digital photography and want to enhance my skills so that I can start taking more pics in RAW and finally get away from the " Auto " mode. I recently purchased the Canon 60D with a kit lens 18-135mm. I am so please with this camera. It's lightweight, has a flip screen useful for different angle's of shooting and best of all it's user friendly which is an excellent advantage to a newby like me. I attached a few pics I took recently at the Zoo.
shot with cage bars in front of him!
shot about 100 ft away
shot pointing up about 60ft
Great photos. I really like the second one. : )
I love my 60 D too The video is really impressive I use it for both stills and video and the tilt screen in live mode helps for certain angles as well as shots from above as shown in this wedding photo. Enjoy your 60 D it is the best so far that I have used.
thank you. I absolutely love your wedding photo. The way the couple is posed, rose peddles on her gown and the expression on the grooms face (looks so humble). I'm assuming you shot that right? what a great concept and idea not to mention the technical aspect of the shot. love it. :)
I love my 60D too. These are all great shots.
I am looking at purchasing a Cannon EOS 60 DS, I love the Photos, would like to learn more of the neat features on the 60?
Great zoo photos!! And the wedding shot is superb.
You can't go wrong with the 60 D I was torn between the 7D and the 60D but the weight finaly sold me after years of of having a heavy camera arround my neck the 60 felt good. You can also video with the 60 as well as shoot stills and after playing around with it you can get some great angle with it.
done with my first digital camera

Looks good. Too bad the bars are showing on your tucan pic though. Such a pretty bird...
The lions are top drawer and the monkey is a nice one as well. I think the lions are my favorite as far as quality, but I love the tucan too.
