This was Nan's car when she was in college. It was new then. I wish she had taken better care of it. Of course, all of that Jersey road salt can take it's toll. The garage is where she took it for service. Hope this doesn't make her turn red.
Hope she doesn't kick me off her thread.

Nice photos. Too bad the car is too far beyond repair. It would put someone in the red trying to redo it.
Yes, you're right. However, some of the parts would be worth a lot to a restorer--esp. the interior. It's amazing what they can do with the originals. A guy with an old pickup told me that he was asked to pay $450 for a side chrome piece hood.

That's true. If done right, it could be worth a fortune. I have been amazed to see what even appears to be rusted out and to some people junk parts go for a ton at my local large car show and swap meet. I guess it's the old supply and demand.

Studio???? I am truly flattered. It is a sheet of plywood on top of my old pool table. This shot was taken with a tungsten clamp light and a set of Christmas lights in the background for the Bokeh effect. This was a piece of my wife's crystal wear on a piece of black foam core.

I use a Canon Rebel XSi 450d on a tripod, a Canon 60mm Macro Lens, F2.8, 1/4 sec.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm recently retired and trying to get more into photography as a hobby.

well ... as usual it seems that the simplle is a rule, BV

Hi Rachel, I missed seeing the peacock avatar.
I had a peacock and 3 hens, the cock flew away and now I just have the hens.

Nan, I don't do many sunset pictures, mostly sunrise pics as they are closer. I have to travel to far for the sunsets.

thanks, and I love the cup. Made me laugh.

SILVERHAWK found RED ON A HOOK what does that mean breakaway...breakaway from the fish...or stuck in the fish and break away from our line...

On this fishing pier, when they are fishing for fish of greater size, they use two fishing poles......they take a long spinning rod or casting rod and cast a weight out as far as they can, they place the pole into a holder already attached to the pier....this provides a line, like a "guywire" on towers, etc....then they attach this sliding attachment to the line and after casting a bait fish(a live fish, usually as big as they have, I've seen them using 12" blue fish) with a casting rod, they clip this line to the attachment.......when the larger fish takes the bait, it pulls the line from the attachment (break away)....here's a photo of the setup....with this method of fishing, they can just sit back and wait for something to take the bait, usually the mackerel, but could be a blue fish, a cobia or shark....the wait can be long and this way they don't have to stand and hold the pole......

OK...thanks for all that info...so it breaks away from the second rod and you can still remove a hook and throw back a fish if you want??? Im kinda curious because I live on the river and find lots of lines and hooks hanging from trees, stuck in the mud.ect....we all get a long down here most of the time...but I hate finding the hooks...at least I have not found one stuck to my face yet ( have to know roadrunner to get this).

Nan was not the only one it's true, who was glad to see you! Good morning everyone shall we have some fun? Jen

Oh Nan, nothing wrong with you that a shot of WD 40 can't loosen. I bought a piece of yard metal art recently just because it had a rusty appearance. Thanks for keeping me.
