Absolutely. After I left the boat I went back to Idaho as an instructor at S5G. Qualified as EOOW and worked with the officer trainees. Met the man twice- the most impressive( not physically, obviously) intelligent person I ever knew. A friend of mine in my sub vet group worked for Rickover for many years, Edwin Evering. He has some great tales working for him also.
