I have owned an A6000 for over a year and am extremely happy with the overall quality of the camera and the images. I am using kit lenses and really have little issue with the quality of my pictures. I have a Canon 40D that has been in it's bag almost exclusively since the Sony purchase but I do have several lenses (Canon/Tamron/Sigma) that I would like to adapt to the A6000. Does anyone have any thoughts on an adapter that will allow me to use the Canon mount lenses? I have been looking online at a couple FotodioX units and just wondering if anyone has had experience good or bad with them or any other brand. I accept the fact that auto focus may be an issue but I am not adverse to manual focus if needed.

I bought the Fotodiox Pro version for my Nikon lens to a6000. I've only used it with a Rokinon fisheye, but that worked well.

Yes. It is a good camera.

May I ask what problems you may have had?

I spent $300 for mine and haven't used it yet.
If interested I may sell it.

I have the Metabones adapter for my Sony A7r and can use all my Canon lenses, both full frame and EF-S lenses with good results. Automatic functions all work although auto-focus is a little slower.

I have the A6000 and many Canon lenses. I know the Metabones line of adapters are allegedly the top of the line, top of the line also means a high price $399. I have read several reviews of the Metabones vs the Commlite adapter and many say spending the extra $300 is not much of a gain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oFDK9j6sbQ <a review done by Jason Lanier with Canon lenses.
Here is a link to a review that compares the Metabones to the Commlite adapter series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTPM5U6fBDM.
I purchased a Fotosay adapter to adapt an older Minolta lens, the original lenses was made before AF so its manual focus and works well.
I made a cheap mistake early on and purchased another Fotosay adapter and have used it to adapt a Canon 50 1.4 lens, AF was fairly fast. I also used the Fotosay adapter to adapt a 70-200 2.8 lens and found that AF was not fast.
I do have a fellow shooter who bought the Commlite adapter on Canon EF EF-S lenses I was able to take a few snaps with it and found it was far faster than the Fotosay.
All of the reviews of the Fotodiox adapters seemed to be hard to get on and off on of the cameras.
I will add that the A6000 is one fantastic camera I have been a Canon user for over 15 years and Sony cameras now blows away the competition.
