We had gone to look at and take pics of wildflowers! Ya know, enjoying the beauty that God gives us this time of year. Well we had been hiking and climbing all over the place along a rocky creek bed.So Charlotte was going back to the car to get another lens for me , she had her readers on so she could see her camera ,but not her feet!!! See saw an elderly man with a cane headed our way,so still focused on him she stepped off about an18 in.or bigger drop off. We were about 80miles from BAMC and that's where she wanted to go. Three surgeries later and about 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital. What a Great Hospital!! She has a long road ahead of her.
Beautiful pictures horrible story I'm wishing your wife a speedy recovery!

I certainly wish Charlotte a complete and speedy recovery.

I too wish your wife a speedy and complete recovery. Having acknowledged that, the flower images are spectacular! Possibly good enough to pay a large chunk of her hospital bill.
I hope for your wife's quick recovery with no residual joint problems.
Steve
As much suffering as it took to get those photos...you should def. get them framed!! Best to your wife.

Wow. God bless you both. Same thing happened to my wife last Oct in the NC Mts except she only broke one. I can't imagine. Hang in there, it WILL get better but will be a long summer.
My son broke his ankle about a year ago. His has healed well. Be sure to get all the rehab you can as you will need it.
Very nice pictures.

Sally suffered a similar brake of her left ankle on March 31 surgery on April 1 and all of the same hardware a week in the hospital followed so far by 8 weeks in Rehab and counting. She is not a happy camper wants to come home. I really feel for you and your wife and wish her a speedy recovery.
Wishing your wife a speedy recovery. What a bummer to end a hike in such beautiful country like that.
