The Chickadee is one of the smallest visitors in my yard and also one of the most welcome! In my area, the species that is native, is the Carolina Chickadee. Zooms into the feeder area like a fighter jet, instantly selects the largest morsel and is gone, only to return in short order. Almost never eats at the feeder...orders "take-out" only. Certainly one of my most frequent and favorite friends!

And as I'm typing this, I'm watching one select a sunflower seed. :-) Chickadees are some of the most lovable little birds, and your shot of this one is beautiful, Bob. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Memorial Day as well.

Nicely done. Love the little guys, who flit into the bushes and trees and scold me if the feeders aren't properly filled on time.

Great shot of him, Bob!

This is a very good shot, Bob! I have big-time trouble shooting the chick-a-dees....they move fast and never stop moving, it seems!

Excellent image,Bob! I have loved these sweet little birds since I was a little girl and saw a Christmas card featuring a chickadee surrounded by little red berries. I've remembered that for like, forever!
