Just purchased the legendary Minolta 7-210mm f4 (beercan) lens from fellow UHH'r Flashgordonbrown.
I mailed his check, he cleared and packed and shipped the lens last Saturday. I received in priority insured mail today.
The lens is perfect and has been well cared for.
I just wanted the HOG to know that we have some great folks on this forum. Kudos to Gordon.
It's good to hear a positive report. I agree we have some great people on this forum.
Too often we only hear negative responses.
Thanks for your courtesy post!

I am in total agreement about the good people on this forum. I've had one here that fixed my computer from afar, one giving me lessons in Elements, one that sold me a camera that is small enough for my pocket, a sheriff that keeps me out of jail here any time I try to get in trouble, many who put up with my awful photography and are even kind about it at times and one self proclaimed aggitator that CALLS me "trouble" (imagine that!). All good people, indeed.

This is the full explanation of the legendary Minolta beercan 70-210mm f4 lens.
Say, I have something at home that looks like that. I've had it a good while--don't know where or how I got it--but never knew what's its "power". As you all can tell, I not only have a LOT of language and knowledge to learn, I got some technologys to learn as well. Recooping at my sister's from surgery, so am not home and can only wait and see what I have and let y'all know it is "this" and one of you great people will let me know what it is or is not. Have I mention that I really love this UHH??
This is interesting....I have a Minolta 75-300 that looks exactly like that....is my lens a "beer can" also? I also didn't know what the aperature was, so thanks to you, I now know there is a good chance that it is an f/4 lens....COOL.

I believe the 75-300 f4 was known as the super beercan.
