If you want to stay small, I recommend you look at the 15mm Voigtlander in Leica screw or M mount with adapter. You can even use a filter on it ! Look at other Leica or Voigtlander lenses for small size.
The Contax G series rangefinder lenses are also quite nice !

Now I am confused... and I mean no disrespect... but if you knew in advance what you were getting yourself into buying the A7II, then you knew there were relatively few native lenses in the FE mount format. So having to buy 3rd party lenses to stay light and small should have been expected.
No it's fine, I am more of a impulse buyer (in the camera world), I find something, I like, I buy it, if it works I keep it if not I sell it and move on to the next, this goes back quite a few years, started with Nikon, did not like feel and programming, ditched went to Olympus, I really liked the OMD EM1, but is APS, got to Canon which I liked way better than Nikon but cost and size of the L lenses is up there, crossed path with the A7 liked the specs and size, purchased the A7II without really looking into the lens availability, however was blown away with the picture quality, without doing much of fiddling with the settings, by now I have a few Zeiss lenses and most likely stick with it, quality and equipment size is exactly what I always wanted, was just a little confused in the beginning with the lens scenario, well, its taken care of by now.
Thank you for everybody who put his 5 cents to it, learned a lot in a very short time, very happy with the A7II and most likely stick with it for a while,......

With those Zeiss lenses you should REALLY be happy!
The image quality of the A7II with Zeiss glass up front should be excellent under 99% of all shooting conditions and situations.
