I've been here at UHH for a while and I've got to say something.
If anyone, Repub or Demo posts; and that post, regardless of topic runs more than 3 paragraphs, I opt out of reading it.
I don't have time to spend on some prolific writers rant that covers 15-20 paragraphs.
At some time in my life, an English teacher said the 1st paragraph states the obvious, the second gives the meat of the subject and the third ends the thought.

Could add to this thought that having 2,3,4 or so lines between points is also a turn-off,particularly when there could be 6 to twelve "points."
I was listening to NPR on the way home last night and someone who was famous for writing a book on how to write well, and I neglected to remember his name, died. The quote from his book that stuck with me is "There isn't much to be said about a period, except that most writers don't get there soon enough."
William Zinsser. "On Writing Well" was one of his many.
Yup. That's the guy. Now if I can just remember it.
Sarge,I could not agree more - or maybe less...
