great set. i hope you had a zoom the size of a bazooka for #4. thanx for such a cool post. gary

Thank you gwr for your nice comment, and for viewing! Haha, a guy made the comment Saturday while taking photos, that I was shooting with a bazooka. the shots were taken with the Sigma 150-600 Sport lens. I was around 70 to 75 yards away from the tree she was in. Plus, the crop pulls her in real close.

I love the shots of the momma and cub! Very nice set.

Thank you FrodoBaggins for your nice comment, and for viewing! The bad thing about the momma and cub in the tree, I got some really cool shots of just the cub in the tree, but a small branch covered the cubs left eye...ruined the shots.

Yes, 70 to 75 yards away from all of the bears in the shots. I NEVER get closer then 50 to 60, but most of the time I try and stay around 75. I don't want to stress the bear, yearlings, or cubs. Plus, I really don't want to get attacked or have to try and outrun...which will not happen...a bear if I get to close. In Cades Cove, a person can be ticketed/arrested for getting closer then 50 yards. I use a 150-600 Sigma Sport lens and then crop to get them to look that close.

Thank you Fullframe for the nice response and the thumbs up! Yes, it's exciting to see these beautiful animals and be able to get shots of them in their natural habitat. I know you can't wait to get there. As soon as I leave, I'm already wishing I was back. Make sure you get to Cades Cove!

Thank you COLANN for the nice comment. Not sure if this is what info you are looking for...these were taken in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mtns. National Park.

Thank you LennyP4868 for your nice response! Oh no, I stay at least 50 yards away and most of the time 70-75 yards away. I don't want to stress the bears out, plus, I don't have a desire to get attacked. Not only will I get hurt, but the bear will be euthanized if it does bite or attack someone.
