Faces can tell such stories! Although we don't always know the specifics of those stories we can often tell quite a bit about a person from their expressions and, particularly with older people, the incredible "road map" of their lives as shown in the lines and creases.

Please feel free to contribute your picture of those journeys.

All good shots - crop for subject :P :P :P

(Passed away in 97th year

What a beautiful face! I would imagine she had an interesting and rewarding life.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your wonderful response........my mom, lived and worked on a small farm, where we were reared, four children (3 boys, 1 girl), took care of her siblings when she was growing up, took care of my grandfather and grandmother, worked on the farm, drove tractor, built haystacks, milked a couple to three cows, then prepared meals......cooked great Sunday "dinners" where the siblings of my dad came to share....in other words, she was the hardest worker you would ever hope to meet....but, loved going to church and singing in the choir(which she was able to do after the passing of the grandparents).....had a fourth grade education, but wrote enough poems to fill a book (I still have them all the way she wrote them).......always ready to help anyone she could.....was, also, a den mother for a local Girl Scout Troop. A book could probably be written about her. She always felt like her life was "rewarding" and everyone that met her loved her immediately.

Thanks for the great story behind the face. It just goes to show that a rewarding and "successful" life can be had without all of the "trappings of civilization" that we normally associate with success. Service to others is reward in and of itself and highly underrated in this Me Me Me world. Wish I could have met her, you should write that book!

Sounds like she is one of the millions who drove this nation forward. Absolutely wonderful human being. Be proud of the legacy she left for you.

Thanks for your suggestion but I think I like them the way they are. Got any you'd like to share?

Just a little Native American beauty.

Thanks for contributing. The face is a bit blurry so it's hard to tell the "road map" evident on some older Native American faces. Great head dress though!
