It's sad, but when I used to go to the nursing to see my mother, I had about 10 other adopted mothers and one of them traveled all the time. She'd tell me about adventures she's been on all over the world and I always said if I had live in own world, I hope in live in one like hers. :( :)

I've got an uncle with the advanced stages of Alzheimer's. Retired from the Air force in 1966 as a Lieutenant Colonel, Ace fighter pilot in WWII, Fighter pilot in the Korean War, flew experimental Jets in Viet Nam. Keen mind always living on the edge, extremely physically fit even to this day.
Gave me my first Nikon SLR, even though he physically here he's not, it's sad, but the things he says are very funny.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Ive known a few with this cond. Ive heard a Dr. on the radio one night late. talking about it. He seems to think its somehow related to mad cow. Come to think about it we never heard of this before that came about. I had a sister die from mad cow back in 2000. Three others died about the same time all of mad cow. They sure kept that quite.

There's so much the medical profession is not sure of .... It's all about the money.
I also wonder how long it went being misdiagnosed. Dementia is close in symptoms along with senility.
Maybe it would be fun to hear ten good reasons why not to post where we are from.

People looking to steal all your high priced equipment comes to mind. Better get to the shotgun (sawed off, illegal) under the bed and the Glock 9 next to the bed first. Then take whatever if you still have a pulse.

Or, why would one want the world to know where to find them?

Why does one have to defend why they don't offer that info. Next members will be asking why people don't use their "real" names.
The honest and most simple reason is because when it comes down to it, it really isn't anyone's darn business.

I'll start it off
10) Because of some of the heated discussions that go on here (I hunt you down and I kill you!)

You're absolutely right, MWAC.
I don't use my real name because my mom got it from some stupid boyfriend she dated prior to getting married to dad. Trouble is, the boyfriend had a stupid name too but mom liked it.
I also lived in places I wasn't overjoyed with either.

(8) Gives you a sense of privacy, something that is becoming a bit of a commodity these days.

That sounds like Achmed from Jeff Dunham.
(7.) You are wanted by the FBI for being an on-line predator.
(6.) Because you are everywhere and no where at all times and it would be a pain to constantly update your status, LOL.
