They solve the problem when it is simple. When complicated, as it sometimes is, they are of no help, and they close the case. I am in the midst of such a problem, and speak, unfortunately, from experience. I will say that they do try, but give up easily weather they help or not. To the best of my knowledge they have only one technician, Ryan. He is nice enough, but limited in what he can do.

What I find more disconcerting is the lack of concern on the part of upper management. I have written both emails and "snail mail" to the chairman of Topaz and have gotten no reply. Telephone support is non existent.

Well I had a problem with Glow and Impressions when I upgraded from W 7 Home to Windows 7 pro and the presets would not load . It took Ryan 4 days to fix, including him to take control of my computer and fix the problem

How good are these plug inns ? I ask because it seems I am missing to do something. I tried the ReStyle that has a lot of presets but most of them look awkward to me.

I think the Impression is useful for wall hangers.

What are you using most with great results?

I use Topaz Simplify 4 for various effects and am very satisfied with the results. I don't want to spend hours altering a picture. I just want to improve it, if necessary.

There are other Topaz plug-ins I want to try but haven't gotten around to buying them.

Thanks! I have not tried Remask, I will. Certainly it is a quite expensive addition if on buys all of them.

It isn't necessary to buy them as a bundle. Just buy the ones you think you'll use. You can always buy others at another time if you want what they offer.

Try Detail3 you will not regret it. I use it all the time.

I have the Stars plugin. Not something you might use a lot, but I do like the effects when shooting landscapes with water. There certainly is a learning curve, but so does everything else.

I wrote to Topaz and told them I wished to acquire the entire suite but I didn't want to pay their price. They wrote back and gave me a special discount code which was much better than the current coupons. I don't remember exactly what it was but I did buy it at the offer they made. I haven't used it much. I have the Topaz Suite, NIK, OnOne Perfect Photo Suite, DXO, Photomatix and a few more. I have a hard time not using Lightroom and Photoshop because they are so good.

I had an occasion to email Ryan and I found him to be at the top of his game. He was excellent help and a great representative for Topaz.

I have a bunch of Topaz plugins and find that for the most part I use Adjust and Denoise. Lately I have spent some time using Remask too.

Denoise is really good from what I see.

Remask is great for a quick mask, like to replace a background.

Those are the three I find most useful. However, playing around with some of the other effects has helped me "revisualize" some older images and make them worthwhile.

I am new, complete beginner, in "retouching" my photos. I own only PS Elements 9 and 13 and Photomatix Pro 5. I downloaded several trials included Topaz.

For the moment I have not tried full Photoshop or Lightroom.

If I decide to buy Topaz I may have to do like DavidPine

since I cannot justify the entire price just now.

I use Topaz to finish what PS & LR started.
