Bridge across the swamp on the Discovery Trail.
Well tried and tested idea which to totally work I feel has to be 100% symmetrical so looks as if you needed to move to the left slightly. Camera looks at a good height for the shot.
Processing wise I think its been over sharpened and you have some quite visible CA on the foreground bridge timbers

Thank you for the critique. I now see after you pointed it out the CA and the need to be better centered. I did not sharpen the photo so I am at a loss as to how I could correct that. I am going back and reshoot this photo today. Thank you so much for looking. bud

I agree with Billy's critique on this except for the sharpening. I don't think it looks oversharpened, but it does look a tad noisy for such a sunny day. Curious as to why you used ISO 400? Was this the camera's doing? Suggest a slower shutter speed and lower ISO next time.
As far as the interest is concerned, I think it would have much more impact if you got closer to the bridge---basically removing the beginning two posts and the foreground pavement from the image altogether. Hope this helps. -M
Besides what has been said there is a strange artefact along the top right edge of your picture , I can't decide what has caused it.

 Good eye, Graham! How in the world did that get there?

It's quite weird, the edge is sharply defined but in itself it is fuzzy and doesn't "match up"
I wonder if that could be from straightening it. I was a little out of level and the artifact does not show in the RAW. I use elements 12 for PP and have a lot to learn. With the help I have here from UHH crew I am now on the way to try again. Thanks to all that responded.

Here is the second try. 2 sec delay on a tripod

Wow... much better than your first image, but be careful... the moderators don't like it when we post more than one photo in a single thread. Not sure why, but I'd rather not ask---I just "try" to play by the rules.
Anyway, the noise is under control now too! Also, I noticed you used f/14... if you are going to use a tripod, then feel free to experiment with a smaller aperture (higher f-number) and then focus about 1/3 of the way in to keep everything in focus. Of course, it depends what you intended to do. Sometimes l like to keep the foreground is sharp focus.
Well done.
Sorry, I didn't know. bud

Near Beards Hollow.
I stared at this image for quite a while until I realized what it was that I found "uncomfortable". The destination at the end of the bridge is a bit too centred for my liking. All else considered, it's nicely exposed and focused. It's a compositional issue.
The two issues I'd have with composition is that, one, the end of the bridge is too centred in the image. The other is that you are not centred within the path of the bridge. I think those two issues, if rectified would produce a much nicely, classically composed image.
Additionally, there seems to be something going on that is just not quite part of the scene. It's along the top of the image, from the centre to the righthand side. I can't figure out what that might be.
