The warranty is not being transferred as the warranty has not yet been activated as I stated above.
You are deluding yourself and your potential customers. How is the person you sell it to going to get the qualifying receipt, in his/her name, from an authorized Nikon Dealer? Or are you an authorized Nikon dealer? Read the warranty. It says: "This warranty extends to the original consumer purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable."
Dear Sir or Madam,
I have the receipt!
I called Nikon!
The warranty is NOT being transferred or assigned.
The Nikon Support girl's exact words to me were...
"Do you have the receipt and is it from a Nikon USA Dealership?"
(Me)Yes...
"Include it with the lens and tell your buyer to register the lens at
www.nikon upon receipt"
"This wil be handled just like a gift"
Please cease contacting me and asking the same repetitious and irrelevant questions or I am going to be forced to contact UHH Admins to report abuse. If you wish to have a cordial, non-adversarial, dialog I welcome that. You also have my sincere appologies if any point I made wasn't sufficiently clear in communication.
Thank You in advance.

That sounds reasonable. However, once you opened the box the price should come down dramatically. Since it's brand new, knock it down to at least $350 and include shipping.
Hi SteveR,
Thank You for your inquiry/reply!
I've actually also covered the price, several times, and shipping IS included as I don't state Plus S&H.
The version being sold on Amazon ($349) is a gray market lens. Please read carefully under Product Details where it says and I quote, "a manufacturer's warranty is available for purchase"...
Also... Please go to B&H and search on Nikon 50mm f1.4 or enter SKU# ni5014gaf and (somehow) you will get two results. One is the USA model at $419 and the other says Import and is $379. Amazon is selling the import (gray) lens and I regret that you were deceived by Amazon. Mine is the U.S. model. If you feel my price for the U.S. Lens is too high please note that I never said offers will not be accepted.
My apologies for any confusion and I genuinely regret that Amazon has turned into WalMart.
Kind Regards,
Paul a.k.a Fishnwish

Paul, I based my suggested price on somebody who posted that the new cost of this lens was just $16 more than what you were asking. If the USA model is selling for $419, I'd suggest selling yours for $50-$60 less. You buyer needs a motivation.
Thanks for the reply SteveR,
I appreciate that approach but also fear that when I drop it to $350-380 then I'm left to combat the Amazon shoppers for the umpteenth time. Then I'm on the path to be asked to reduce to $300.
I'd much rather do business with an already educated shopper that can make a reasonable offer.
Sorry if I sound like a cranky curmudgeon!
Have a great day!
I knew that going into this I just didn't anticipate the level of batshit crazy people that not only don't have a clue what their buying but once they are given facts just can't let go.
It sucks that you had to but I think you handled it all like a real trooper, Fishnwish. Best of luck with your sale.

Hi Cameraniac,
I appreciate the support and kind words!!!
I'm confident however that any of forum users who've enjoyed an elongated chat on the subject didn't mean any harm or ill will. We're passionate about our craft and take it seriously, that's all.
Have a great upcoming weekend!

You never can tell about batshit crazy people.
Hi SteveR,
It finally sold- I received $365 via Craigslist after negotiating down from $400. But there were no shipping, EBay, or PayPal fees. Took forever but it was worth it and I met a new friend. We registered the lens warranty with Nikon together while we were at Starbucks doing the sale.
It can be frustrating but I'm pretty sure I'm only going to deal with used equipment funded mostly with used equipment sales. Although that new equipment smell can be tempting.
Happy Shooting
Paul

Congratulations on making your sale. Not having to pay shipping was certainly a plus.
