Finally a shot of a Magpie that I am just about pleased with not as good as Angler's (Jim) but a begining. Shot on Auto so some comments might be welcome !

Thanks Jim I took quite a few of this particular Magpie but this one was the only one which I did not delete - I really must start shooting on manuel.

A tip for shooting birds. Set your shutter to continuous and rattle off 4-5 shots. You will catch a lot more expressions, and generally one of them will be a real keeper.
