Any experiences to share with purchasing film from either of these retailers?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Do you have a preference? I'm going to be purchasing some "bricks"-- the local store seems kinda high to me....

I like Adorama for film, but I buy from both Adorama and B&H.

I buy odd film. My last purchase was 5 boxes of 25 sheets Efke 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. B&H had it so I bought it there and was glad to get. I was going to cut down 4x5 film.

I also collect, buy, and use lots of expired film.

I still get my Fuji Provia 100F 120 roll film from B&H. When they can get it anyway.

I'm curious if you have used the Fuji 120 slide film rated at 50 asa and do you send it out for processing? As I recall, you've had success with scanning 120 transparencies.... My next purchase will probably be a scanner-- the local lab is pretty spendy for that.

I shoot Fuji Velvia 50 120 and have it developed locally for $4.40 a roll tax included. I just dropped off 4x5 sheets of the same film and he charges $2 a sheet. I think the prices are way cheap and he does a good job.

The roll film comes back uncut in one sleeve.

I throw it on my light table, cut the ones I like into twos while still in the sleeve, and I scan with an Epson 4490 Photo. The Fuji scans and prints are real bright, vivid colors.

I've delt with B@H a few times. Quick delivery and I would not hesitate to use them again.

I have shot Vevia 50, still have a couple rolls here. But its a little too saturated for most of my landscapes, thats why I prefer the Provia. I have all my E6 work done at The Darkroon in San Clemente, CA but don't have them mount it. I scan it myself on my Epson V500 PHOTO scanner at home. Great results.

That is a good price Randy. I pay $6.50 a roll, but that includes shipping. No one locally doing 120 at all around here.

Oh, and it looks like you nailed it with the Yashica . Thats Velvia?

And, if I have it in by 2, I can pick it up at 4:30. The guy is 1 mile away, and been in business 20 years.

I have been buying from B&H since 1999 and have always had a pleasant buying experience. I have purchased film, digital equipment including two digital cameras and lenses. I always call to speak with a representative and the customer service is exemplary.

I usually receive my purchases in two to three days.
