Hi from Aylett, VA.......just joined the website after being told of it by my fourth cousin ~jpintn~(just found him a few years ago while doing genealogy research - small world).....looking forward to viewing all of the excellent photography here....I am definitely an amateur, but still enjoy "clicking" everything(simple photography with Canon Powershot S2 IS)(am upgrading, just a little, this year and will be looking for tips about next step cameras)....am retired, be 80 (4/25) this year, have done a little traveling by auto and in a motorhome, which we lived in for five or six years, traveled to St. Lucia in the West Indies for Son's wedding, otherwise everywhere else is in the good ole' USA.....hometown is
Ronceverte, West Virginia (I know - you never heard of it, but I know you have heard of the world famous "Greenbrier Hotel"....nine miles from my home in the mountains at White Sulphur Springs, WV)

Thanks, Cuz! Howard's Creek runs through the golf course and I caught some mighty "rainbows" there while it was still an airport.....now they have million dollar houses there for folks that have the "bucks"...here's a couple photos of the golf course area I made from Google Maps before a new "photographic flyover" with this view never to be seen again...the rectangular area was a German POW encampment area during WWII..and, at that time the "Greenbrier" was made into the "Ashford General Hospital" for the WWII wounded.....LOL!!

Welcome and nice photos. Funny how you should mention how you found a relative through genealogy. I am also into that in my family.
