Well I made it to the coast and it's not so pretty out in fact it's raining so I'm not going out to take any pictures. Also fiinding out that the upload speed on this internet provider is slower than slow so lets see if I can even upload one picture.

How sweet!

Wow never seen ducks that look like that..wonder how many different kinds of ducks there are

Bev... They are mutated mallard duck as far as I can find out. It appears to be something that is spreading. The ones with the top feathers are still kinda rare as far as I can find out. Color mutation seems to be a little more common.

What a fun day today! Picnic with my husband and a couple of neighbors at the Dallas White Rock Lake, my new kayak in the water! One more thing off my "bucket list", always wanted a kayak!
And the "brazilian empanadas" were an huge succes!
We saw a few different ducks, don't know what they are called, so blue...
Good night, everyone, tomorrow I'll look at all the pictures...right right I feel my arms are going to fall off!!!

Marilia.... Looks like a great Picnic, nice shots. Keep that camera dry. Kayaks turn over very easy...;0)

Your duck is a mutated mallard as far as I know, kinda rare too. I have a picture of one here in Reno, and another one that is similar, but female and blond in color, but she doesn't have the curly feathers near the tail like mallards do. Her mate in the picture behind her is of odd mutated color, but has the curly feathers near the tail but no fluffy feathers on his head. There are groups breeding Crested Domestic ducks, that I found online while searching, that look similar to my blond one. Still kind of a mystery...;0) So I'm not sure what she is for sure. There were several odd colored mallards swimming around the day I took the picture of the blond female.

Did someone in Reno put the photos on the tile? I'm seriously interested in the process....I have a kiln and do a lot of decal firings.

Hi Goddess.... No, I tried three different places before I found one I liked. The process is called sublimation printing, where the ink used turns to a gas under heat, and adhears to the tile. Don is in South Dakota... Here is his website. He and his wife do outstanding work, and are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with.

The 6" x 8" tiles run $12.00 each plus shipping, you supply the photos you want on the tiles. He can give you all the photo requirements that they need. There are various size tiles you can get too. Any other questions just give me a holler.

Peanut... If you are just doing the tread risers, not too bad of a job, if you are tearing out the old treads and replacing with new, all I can say is good luck....;0) I just hope there is no carpeting on the stairs now, that really makes the job a lot harder, at least on my job it did.

Welcome to Day 88 :) .. Thank you all for being patient while I'm trying to kick whatever has ahold of me. Today is going to be a day of Personal Inspiration.
Post whatever you were inspired to photograph .. the only requirement is you have to take the photo today ..(within the last 24 hours).

I wasn't able to drag myself out of the house but I did manage to go out on the patio for about 5 minutes.

Gracie and I went walking outside. She led and I followed.
