I posted this shot yesterday in B&W - I just preferred it that way! I've been asked to post the colour version and here it is together with the B&W.

Very nice, Sir! I'm not normally a b&w fan, but I have to say this one is gorgeous. Not saying I prefer it to the color version, mind you! Thanks for posting both. :D

Thank you globetrekker. I'm not usually a big B&W fan but sometimes it just works for me. I guess I wasn't over keen on the brownness of the water in the colour version.

I for one was curious as to what I looked like in color, thanks for the repost showing the color version of the shot....now that I have seen the two side by side....not a major fan of black & white, but in this case ...I like it

I like both of them Bob, but I see what you mean about the river colour.

Thanks Tom. I guess there's no right or wrong to some shots. I understand both viewpoints - generally I prefer colour but sometimes B&W works better.

If the river had been a beautiful blue perhaps then I'd probably have kept it in colour. We have more latitude in B&W don't we? Thanks Linda.

Cheers Alan, pleased you like them. B&W was just my way of disguising murky brown!
