normally I wouldn't put my yucky photos on here BUT (there's always an exception, lol)
they skies were dark it had just finished raining, only there was more to come. Inbetween showers - thought I would try 2 get a picture of some lighning (which is my 3rd fav thing to take pictures of.) But of course - I didn't get any lighning.... but, as I was looking at the sky, something caught my eye - I moved the camera & snapped a couple off. This is what I captured (it's around the middle off to the left a bit in the 1st pic, the 2nd pic - it's more to the left of the picture but still mid ways down.)
normally I wouldn't put my yucky photos on here BU... (show quote)

So now you can put your headphones on and listen to a little music, hold a beer in one hand and the steering wheel in the other... Ya baby, you could mow all day long!,.... What would be playing in your earphones?

This is Chance, he and his spear guard my front door. He is life size and hand carved. Taken from upstairs, with my 100-400mm lens.

I thought some of you might enjoy seeing what I did when I took the carpeting off our stairs, and replaced it with oak treads and tile risers. The center pieces are old photos and post card pictures from around Reno. I had them put on the tiles by a special process. I still need to grout the stair risers, as at the time I almost blew my knee out doing this project. The picture tiles measure 6" x 8" and the double one 6" X 16".

ahh, poor little cocker! I am sorry you are still so cold, snowy and frozen there... how many hrs daylight are you having now? I know you said something about it a few days ago and i can't remember

I think the cocoon is an eastern tent caterpillar. maybe not, my book says they usually build the cocoon in crooks of fruit trees like pear, cherry or apple. It is like an egg mass.. It also says that it is common throughout the eastern ans central states to the Rocky Mountains. It should be a creamy to pale yellow color.

I think we have those in a tree in our front yard.... In the middle of summer we can see a big sack like thing in our tree and we get caterpillars everywhere.. But this is on a bush in our backyard and not as big as the caterpillar thing...

I had a bon fire tonight - getting rid of some tree pieces where we had to have a tree cut last june... anyway, I love taking pics of fire because I always see faces that look like they are in agony or just evil. So here are a few of my fire, hope you see the faces too so you don't think I am nutso - lol

Doesn't take much imagination to see faces there.

What a fun day today! Picnic with my husband and a couple of neighbors at the Dallas White Rock Lake, my new kayak in the water! One more thing off my "bucket list", always wanted a kayak!
And the "brazilian empanadas" were an huge succes!
We saw a few different ducks, don't know what they are called, so blue...
Good night, everyone, tomorrow I'll look at all the pictures...right right I feel my arms are going to fall off!!!

My pretty new kayak...
My pretty new kayak......

There I go, testing the waters...only kayaked one time in my life...
There I go, testing the waters...only kayaked one ...

A little rest...
A little rest......

Don't know what kind this is...
Don't know what kind this is......

Is this a Mallard???
Is this a Mallard???...
