My in-laws (where we were staying while in Charleston) must think I am completely nuts. I would get up around 5:00AM so that I could get into the history district before the sun came up. That way I got some wonderful shots of the lamps that light the doorways and, as the sun approached the horizon, I got that wonderful early morning light. Here are a few of the entryways that I found particularly interesting. Hope you like them. Tips and comments are always welcome.

Yes, I agree. These were all taken SOB (south of Broad). I really appreciate you taking a look.

Very nice shots.
Forget what the In-Laws thought, I think I would have be looking over my shoulder continuously, anticipating a curious police officer approaching me.

My wife thinks I am nuts because I love to shoot doorways too. I also love to shoot doorknockers. You have some great shots. I like the first and last the best. Just keep shooting them even if they do think you are nuts.

Funny you should mention that. I was wondering the same thing; but nobody even bothered. I was never in an area that was not clearly public (sidewalk or street when traffic allowed) So nobody paid any attention to me at all even though several police cars did pass me on different days, I was never questioned about why I was there or what I thought I was doing! If I had been crawling through bushes or walking onto porches etc. I'm sure I would have gotten a "talking to".

I believe you are talking about East Bay or "Rainbow Row" as it is sometimes called. I'll have photos from there posted a bit later as soon as I get them "processed". Thanks for taking a look.

If I worried about people thinking I was "nuts" and changed my behavior because of it.... I would have very little to do. lol. Thanks for taking a look. I do appreciate it.
Super series, Erich! I particularly am drawn to the two b&w, but all are lovely and interesting.
So glad you weren't arrested for peeping Tom activities :)
