Has anyone else used this program ,have not seen any chatter on it .i personally think it is one of the best programs to come along in a while, seem to do just about all the things you would wan t in an editing program and it is affordable
there has been a ton of talk about it, I don't own it so can't really say much about it but have heard mostly good things about it
I have the program and love it. I am a Photoshop Elements user (full Photoshop is too much for me) and I have found Lightroom easy to use. I am still learning. It can do complex things that will take time to learn, but the basics were easy.
My daughter is taking an online photography coarse and she is really excited about lightroom and highly recommended it to me.
Lightroom is great but it does take some time to learn. I have Scott Kelby's book on lightroom but I would like to take a class too. What online class is your daughter taking?

Anthony,
I used Lightroom 3 (LR 3) to select my excellent photos that I will further process, print, or post on my website, to catalog my photos, add keywords, and put captions/titles on them. I have my own website, and that's important when I upload photos to it. I also use the keywords on LR 3 to find specific photos on my hard drives. LR 3 is where I do about 95% of my post processing. I also like it because of seamless connection to Photoshop and other plug-ins I currently use as part of my post processing. I have to give LR 3 an A rating for helping stream lining my workflow.
I am an Eements 9 user, and haven't used Lightroom yet but am very curious about it as well---Elements 9 comes with an organizer program, but I really dislike it and tend to use Picasa to organize and edit. As far as processing, what can lightroom give you that you cannot do in Photoshop Elements or CS5?

Shanna,
Lightroom 3 has much better organizer than Elements or Photoshop and is made more for a photographer than a graphic artist.
One of the things i really like about Light room is being able to view edited and unedited photos side by side
