Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM or Tamron SP 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Lens F2.8 ?????
I presume that you are using a Canon FF. I just added a 6D to my bag. I had been using a 60D & Canon 10-22 that was as sharp as you can get. I had the 24-105 f/4 L. I wanted a wider glass. I needed a budget solution and thought that the Canon 16-35 f/4 would be it. With nothing on the used market as they are rated very well I broadened my search. I bought the Korean 14 mm (it's under many names Rokinon, Samyang, etc.). I ran into a used Tokina 16-28 f/2.8 I bought it. The Tokina is very sharp. The guy was just dumping it to buy the new Canon 11-24. For me it came down to budget.

1 stop faster at the same price. I would go for the tamron
My preference would be the ability to use filters on the Canon .
I agree!!! I do believe the ability to add a filter will out weigh one stop..... But I do like the idea of 6 year warranty. Guess you can't have your cake and eat it too
