SX50 on Macro.

This fungi is growing at the base of palm stumps in my back paddock. The fungi doesn't seem to grow on live trees--just dry stumps. Please download for better detail.

Wow! There's a fungus among us. lol Sorry, Earl. I just couldn't resist. :-D First one looks like a caviar turnover. Oh I do think I'm losing it today. lol Seriously, these are fantastic shots and great textures. I've noticed a lot of those growing on stumps here.

I love shooting fungi but haven't had any around lately. This reminds me that we had a light rain last night and now would be a good time to go on a mushroom hunt!
