I haven't done this in a long time, it is much fun to do, you just need a fast lens like a 50mm some where around 1.7 to 1.8 is fine (cheap)
Most of these were shot with a Minolta Rokkor 50mm manual focus lens with a extension tube (also cheap) If you don't already have a 50mm prime lens please get you one, most are sharp and awesome to shoot and one can learn a lot from shooting them.

I really like the way the sun is falling on #1 and love the blurred backgrounds of #2 & #3. Very pretty!

And then you added 4, 5 and 6 with their own prettily blurred backgrounds!

And now 7 and 8. You have me thinking I need to pull out that 50mm kit lens and start following (trying) your example.

You got some great stuff here, HOT Texas! I love these soft images, some almost abstract in appearance. Couple of them I wouldn't mind seeing on my wall. Excellent work!

You are so right, HT. Soft focus shots are loads of fun and easy to do. This technique also works with a 100mm macro and extention tube. Your shots are just beautiful! I love every one!
