My "local" Castle. Small Castles like this are spread throughout Wales, this particular Castle was the ancestral home to the Morgan Family. It was used on location for the TV series "The Adventures of Robin Hood" in 1950's, starring Richard Green. Unfortunately the Castle is now in disrepair and needs some serious renovation.
Great . We hope to visit Wales in the future as I remember the beautiful patchwork quilt fields and now want to photograph them.

Nice shots. I remember that series. I wondered if he might be Robson Green's father - long shot - but no.
Thanks for the feedback, don't think Richard and Robson Green are related but ??

Wales is a great place to visit but I am biased... Can't guarantee sunshine as we get our fair share of rain! but thats the reason the countryside is so green..I hope you get to visit.

We were there for a few weeks in the spring of 1974. From what I recall, we had no rain. We visited Aberystwyth and rode on a narrow gauge railway. The countryside was beautiful, and the people were very friendly. I always surprised me to come upon people speaking Welsh, and they would switch immediately to English to talk to us, but they had no accent. I expect people who speak a foreign language to speak English with an accent.
We brought home a painting done by someone named Jones-Owen - two of the most common names in the country. The telephone book had a section that gave tips for finding people because so many last names are the same, and there were very few first names listed. It was a memorable trip.
Sorry Jerry to contradict you but the Welsh English spoken accent is a very definite melodic one and a little like my own Geordie one .Quite lovely actually

I enjoyed studying the details in these scenes.
