Obama's Economy

The so called president community organizer, er obama had the temerity today to blame our poor economy on "bad weather". Excuse me but that is not how you spell B-U-S-H. The community organizer must be pretty mixed up. I guess he is about as dumb as the people that voted for him. This economy is NOT recovering and if anything is getting worse.

US Growth Forecast Chopped to Zero

Source: Thinkstock
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta has reported that its forecast for U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) growth dropped to zero on April 1 and ticked back up to 0.1% on April 2. The bank uses a unique model called GDPNow to prepare its forecasts, and the model typically estimates growth well below the rate projected by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).
The GDPNow model aggregates the same 13 subcomponents used by BEA to construct its estimate, but when a data point is not available, the model uses “bridge equations” to fill the gap. Other forecasters use similar “nowcast” techniques, but the Atlanta Fed notes that other forecasts are not updated more than once a month or once a quarter. Also, they are not publicly available and do not include forecasts of the subcomponents that add color to the top-line number. The GDPNow model fills those voids.

On February 2, the GDPNow model forecast GDP growth of 1.9%. At that time the change in net exports was forecast to be down $15 billion. By March 12, that total had dropped to a $40 billion negative change. Nonresidential construction spending was initially forecast to drop by 1.5% and is now forecast to be down 22.5%.

GDP growth may not actually reach zero in the first quarter of 2015, but there does not appear to be much question that it will end up well below where initial forecasts put it.

Oh, Sponge Bob. Sometimes he's cool.

I like to do fact checking. Even when I'm tired.

I was unable to fined any information that ties the Federal Reserve Bank or any of it's operations to 'Right Wing Nut Jobs'. Not sure what that was about.

Stock market - I was unable to find any information that shows the President has anything to do with the stock market. I'm aware that several of his government economists have been reporting their concerns over the market being completely out of touch with true corporate valuations and returns.

Unemployment - the latest published government figures show this is not true.

Recession - numbers for the last available year show the average American family's income is still down 8% from when the recession started. As far as I could tell from the reports, that is in real dollars, not adjusted for inflation. I don't think the average American feels like the recession is over.

Housing - latest numbers do show the housing market beginning to return. There are no numbers or any information that indicated the government had anything to do with this. It was Barney Frank sponsored bank bills pasted during the Clinton administration that led to the 2007 banking collapse->housing collapse->Bush recession.

Manufacturing - the latest published government figures show this is not true.

Uninsured - This was a mess to try to research. There are no definitive numbers. It does appear more people have health insurance but all reports on the actual numbers are skewed by the politics of the people issuing the reports. I think it will be awhile before we can tell how this is all going to shake out.

Deficit - I'm not sure what kind of fussy math is being used here. Not counting Obama's first year in office, because part of that year's deficit was in the budget from Bush's last year, the federal budget numbers issued by the government show that Obama's budget deficits have already increased the federal debt more than any other President and he still has two more years. If Obama is saying the latest budget deficit is less than the previous deficit, after increasing the national debt to a historical high, that's like claiming he closed the barn door after the horse got out.

Aren't the internet and search engines wonderful things. Somebody recently told that not all things on the internet are true. Does that mean all those government numbers might be lies?

Nope, all came from current information. Makes no difference to me what you thing about the numbers. I would suggest you learn how to research things that are posted and to think for yourself instead of posting childish stuff that had noting to do with the Federal Reserve Bank report. You can now post more childish stuff. Bye.

Nice research, informative. Thanks. As for the number of uninsured, the poster that replied to you with the obama picture quoting certain stats the "cut in half" line is completely false. You are right the numbers are fuzzy and are affected by politics. But even by the democrats' own estimates only about one-fourth of people that were uninsured have obtained medical insurance. And even in that number about half of those that have obtained insurance from obamacare are "newly" insured. Meaning they had health insurance before the law was implemented but their current insurance was canceled because of obamacare. So the newly insured is actually a relatively small number. Further, the CBO issued a report about one month ago that speculates that when the new healthcare law is fully implemented we will still have the number of uninsured that we have today. Which of course would bring one to the conclusion/question why have the law in the first place? Well there are some reasons but they have little if nothing to do with healthcare.
As for the response you got from this guy in Oklahoma. I do not know if he has responded to one of your posts before but without exception what you always get is something nonsensical and very often has nothing to do with what you posted. Facts mean absolutely nothing to him. So, good luck with that.

Dirt dauber it seems your medical condition is worsening. Your ability to comprehend and retain even the simplest of thoughts or ideas seems to have left you completely. In other words you have finally become hopelessly and totally vacuous. I am somewhat confident that you have noticed that hardly any of your posts are ever responded to. Hardly anyone takes anything you say or post seriously. When they do respond it is usually to make fun of you or show concern such as I am doing now.

Get back on the meds partner. Get yourself some help.
