This is something that my daughter does for Georgia Southern (Go Eagles!) She does football, basketball and competition cheerleading. Now they are in the competition season, getting ready for Nationals that will be held in Daytona, FL in a few weeks. The photos you see are from a Stunt competition that was held in Statesboro this weekend. It is played sorta like a game, it has 4 quarters. It is difficult for me to explain because this is only the 2nd year in this type of competition cheerleading. It is very exciting. GSU came in 3rd in the first game and WON the second. Other teams included FSU, UGA and USC.
I had the hardest time trying to focus my camera. It was set on manual.....Hummmm my bad eyesight have anything to do with that?
Thanks for looking, as always suggestions and comments welcome.
Other than looking a little soft (all but the last one) you did a very nice job capturing the movement of everyone involved including the hair moving like it being blown in the wind therefor showing the action. Nice Job.

I think you did great with focus in all but one obvious shot. Not an easy thing to do, so be happy with what you achieved here.
What shutter speed were you using? I think you did an awesome job. I shoot cheer comps and don't set shutter speed to anything below 1/800. Always use autofocus. For motion that fast, you'll miss too much trying to get focused.
Great action shots. Overall, I think you did very well for this type of event.
Nice action! those girls are amazing!
