???

What is that? I cannot figure out what you are capturing so helping you???

TWO good ideas:

1) Use descriptive a title.
2) Give pertinent information.

I think you are trying to get a clear pic of the flame, if so put your camera on a tripod, with the flame out put a wooden match stick where the flame will be and focus on the match. Pull out the match being careful not to move anything light the candle and take the pic You can also play with the aperture to get the effect you want

Using a CPL will help with the color of the flame.

WTF is a CPL? Sometimes IDK what you guys or the OP are talking about IMHO ROFLMFAO. LOL!

As for the OP, try focusing on something as mentioned above, or on the edge of the glass. The eye needs some frame of reference, something solid to stop on. Use a tripod. Not enough light to hand hold the camera.

BTW, why bother commenting if all you're going to offer is snark? You know what he wanted but you have be an ass about it, every time. You guys are boring me.

And several make a career of it.

Can't imagine what a turn-off it is for new photographers (or photographers new to UHH) to get a nasty, demeaning response from their first post ... I know I'd never be back if it had happened to me. We're all here to share photos and to learn - denigrating another photographer's efforts to learn is pretty low-life IMO.

There is a constant willingness to help on UHH but there is also a minimum required to get that help.

To post a meaningless picture and ask a generic help does not mean ANY requirement.

Your own post and that of the other who do not understand that are out of line and not able to go past their own idea of what 'helping' is.

Your 'low life' comment applies to you. So far not one was out of line or denigrating, even if some other comments were out of line.

If you want help, follow UHH TOU and the forums instructions.

Feel better? Good.

Have a nice day - if you're capable of it.

I'm done.
