Every now and then I get lucky. I grabbed my D610 with my fish eye lens to take a shot for submission of today's photo challenge. On the way to what I thought might be a good shot I spotted this guy in the pond in the park behind my house. So I took off for home, grabbed my D750 with the 28-300MM and while walking back I set it on aperture priority, kicked the ISO down to 400 and went after the shot. Well he saw me with that lens and took off, so I go lucky and got these shots. Now had I had more time I would have gone manual and kicked it up at least a couple hundreds of a second faster as to stop the white wash out. So, that I the one negative thing I can say about these shots, but time was not on my side.
Data:
D750
28-300MM @ 300MM
f8
1/1600 for shot 1 & 3, 1/1000 on shot 2
ISO-400
Shot 1 was run through both PS and LR to try to lighten the white but the results was not all that significant.
Great shots,Looks more like skill to me.

Great shots. Was going to ask you what equipment, but I see you included that information.

All,
I received some feed back from a great photographer on a FB Group (Fort Worth Camera Club) stating that I should not have cropped these so much and they should not have been centered. Within a certain degree that conflicts with feed back I have received in the past. I believe his intent was good not to be put downish just his feed back. What say you all. I might find the originals (heck) they are only 1 day old so they should be on one of my active SD Cards and look at them differently.
Thanks in advance.

I think they call that the rule of thirds,I don't play by that rule,If I crop a pic. and it looks good to me then so be it,I'm not a pro so I make up my own rules.
