Targus is the primary electronics-related brand they sell in Target stores. Not the top of the line of course, but the Targus tripod should get the job done just fine, which is really the most important thing. Although I've never had a Targus tripod, I have purchased other Targus products over the years, and so far I have not experienced any dissappointments with any of them.

What a nice brother! Also, nice to hear that you had a successful surgery!

Thanks. MY brother is my lifeline. The surgery was a snap and I am doing well.

It seems to be different for everyone. I had my second eye done last Tuesday. Wednesday about noon the "plastic shower-curtain look" was gone and I was able to drive myself to the check-up appointment with the ophthalmologist. Distance vision is perfectly clear and sharp, but I'll have to wear glasses for reading and computer the rest of my life. Optometrist appointment coming up in May.
My friend on the other hand, kept that "plastic shower-curtain look" for just about a week.
For me, there was not much change in the colours around me; my friend however said, it looked like she had stepped into a new world with very vivid and intense colours.
Hope they clear up soon for you too!

The 'shower curtain' is still with my second eye (done 1-1/2 weeks ago). The first eye cleared up in less than a week. This one is going to take much longer I guess. I don't mind the wait, just as long as it does clear.

Wow, we've got some terrific and generous relatives here on UHH. First Marilyn (colo43) and now you, Corolyn. Congrats and enjoy your new tripod!

Tom has taken over the role of head of family. He is 4 years my junior but most people think I am the younger. When we were in high school and went to the mall, his friends would meet us and ask Tom who his new girlfriend was. His reply "Heck no this is my big sister" putting his elbow on my shoulders. Tom took me an our youngest brother Lonnie in when both of us became disabled. We lived at first in a very small house with only 1500 feet and it was just too small to fit all our stuff. Especially mine because of all my art stuff. In 2001 Tom had the house just outside Arlington, Tn built to accommodate all 3 of us. I had the chance to add my touch with designing the house so I have a large Mud/Laundry room off the drive with sink and storage for all my vases. There is a small toilet room so I can come in with all my dirt and not get the rest of the house dirty. It has washer and dryer on stands with drawers so I don't have to bend over to put n a take out the wash. A storage cabinet next to the washer for the detergent etc. The sink counter is 7 feet with drawers and cabinets. There is a handing space between washer and dryer. Next to that is the Full size upright freezer. across from freezer a closet to store paper and plastic and brooms etc. Tom has the master suite off the laundry room and entrance to garage. We then enter the Breakfast room (with door to patio) that leads to kitchen to the right and front room strait ahead. There is a formal dining room off the kitchen. We have a huge pantry. I had that extended under the stairwell as they had only a little one. The front entry hall is hardwood as well as the formal dining. I wish we had opted for hardwoods all over but Tom says that can be done soon. Off the living area is a short hall with bath strait ahead and bedrooms to right and left. Those were Lonnie's rooms. Now that he is passes away Tom plans to use one for office and the other for his library which is now in the living area. Now the wonderful part! I have the entire upstairs! My bedroom is the size of the 2 car garage over which it is located. I extended the tiny walk in closet and it is now 15 feet long and 9 feet wide with a door to the attic at the far end. I have a larger bathroom because we extended it into the attic space to allow for a jacuzzi tub. I have a triple vanity with 1 sink and of course the required toilet. Across the hall is my office/sewing room. I enlarged that closet as well so I have lots of storage for my materials and notions. Hat making materials and Feathers. At the end of the hall is my Studio. It is 24x18 feet with a 10x12 wet room with sink off of it. There is a door leading into the attic to access the heat and air units. The house total is 4600 feet. So you see my brother more than takes care of me. He just last year bought a new car for me. Well it is a gently used car but it had only one owner and she used it seldom. It is a Chevy Impala 2009. I am paying him back for that in installments and when I have paid it off he will put it in my name. Now however it is cheeper to put me on his auto insurance instead of having it separate. Money is tight as he not only takes care of me but I have 2 older sisters who live in our old home place that he comes to the rescue for on a regular basis. Tom works as a computer hardware/software designer for Dupont. He is much respected and in demand there. He works hard and when he comes home he likes to sit in his chair and read or go online researching computer design. He is on a computer forum testing out new components and software. He built my computer and gave me that too. With a large flat screen and a scanner/printer/fax machine. What do I do to pay him back for all this? I keep his house clean, run his errands when he doesn't have time, do the grocery shopping and generally do whatever he needs me to do. He has allowed me to have my perennial/annual border around his yard so long as I don't make any island beds for him to have to mow around. He hated that in our growing up years when Mom had so many. The lot is 2 acres with a steep hill in front leading up to an "escarpment" with woodland, then small lawn, then the house. We can see our neighbors but they are quiet and don't have a lot of kids now that the Leggitts have moved. I do miss those kids though because they would come over and we would talk about flowers, lizards, spiders and butterflies. Turtles are regular visitors too. We used to have all woods behind us but they put in a cove behind us and built an assisted living house right behind us. So instead of looking at the woods now I have to look at that place with it's huge skylight that no private residence would ever have on it's roof. Ah well, If ever I get the money I want to plant a row of Cedars back there to block off that view. When they took down the trees they had to fill in that lot because it was as hollow before. They trucked in so much soil that it smothered the roots of some of our Oak trees and they died. They cut them down last week as one had already fallen and hit their roof. Tom said he wasn't cutting them down because it would cost him a fortune. So the city and the facility management did it for us. But the loss of 3 mature oaks was a blow to me. Well I have rambled on too much so will leave you now and thank you all for your comments. By the way those of you who had the cataract surgery. I had multi-focal lenses put in so that I will not have to wear glasses. Another thing that Tom has given me.
