I have some exciting news to share----tonight I received an email from Shutterbug magazine and they have chosen my ice beach photo as a photo of the day! WOW that is sooooo exciting for me! They said that one photo of the day per month will make it into the magazine.

We've had many sssr shots posted. Hope all are learning something.
In my original post as I quoted above, It was also meant to include BLUEHOUR.
I'm a little surprised that I've not really seen ANY blue hour pics posted. Feel free to continue with sssr, but if you have any bluehour(bh), feel free to post away.
I'll post a ss bh from Mono Lake that also has light painting as well. A somewhat favorite activity at Mono Lake!! ;-)

this is one of my all time favorite sunsets and ironically it looked better after I shot it...I was still shooting with an oly bridge camera and will admit the colors were different in real life...no pp here.

I am going to show my ignorance here but in order to learn one must ask questions about things one does not know. What exactly is meant by the "Blue Hour" and when does it typically occur? Is it the time after the sun sets?
