Enlarging a photograph before cropping - Question

Photoshop. CS6. The photo below is one of many that ultimately I need the people to fill a 8 x 10 frame, with some border, IF necessary. How do I enlarge the photograph so I can crop it to an 8x10 size ultimately?

I will be cropping from the waist up and still get the faces to almost fill the frame.

#1 photo as taken
#2 photo was cropped.
#2 is the one I want to enlarge.

I've tried to follow and/or search for instructions, etc. All that happens is the photo is REDUCED, not enlarged as it was to be.

What I need is a link to the instructions, Youtube, etc.

Thanks
This is driving me NUTs!!

This photo was cropped.

I don't get it. Why do you want to enlarge it? It's plenty big, and is already cropped to 8x10. Print away!

Not sure what you mean about enlarging, if want an image resized you can do this by using CS6 (Image->Image Size) then adjusting the dimensions to your needs either constrained to an the original aspect ratio or not. For cropping an image to a particular size just use the crop tool, then using the pull down on the crop toolbar choose size and resolution and input in the dimensions you need like 8x10 at 300dpi. Draw you crop and hit the check mark, if you are unsure about placing it, uncheck delete cropped pixels in the crop toolbar to fine tweak your crop before flattening and saving. See sample done using the crop tool.

Thanks for the reply Helge.
What I am asking... I guess, is #2 photo to be enlarged from the waist up yet give me a border and enlarge to fit an 8 x 10 frame.
Does this make sense?

Scott, yes, I saw that there was no room for the border and I completely forgot about a 1/4" border!!

Thanks for the reply!

Also, although I have a hard time remembering to do this, is when shooting people to leave a little room on each side for cropping in at least some of your shots to get that 8x10.

Here is my version of cropping and resizing to 8 x 10 including border. I positioned my crop differently from those done by yourself and others. I gave more space to the left of the gentleman to create what I feel is a better aesthetic balance.
