Can you believe Canon says it's okay to print on tissue paper? Not on my printer.

Thanks Jerry. Now if I could only get the girl in the video to come by the house and show me, for sure, how it's done.

It's the first step in transferring images to candles. Again, why would you want to? :D

I can print on cloth with my HP Photosmart Printer. My wife irons the cloth to a sheet of freezer paper that fits the printer. You could try to iron the tissue paper to sheet of freezer paper, print on it and peel it from the freezer paper backing, then put it on the candle as described in the video. (no steam for pressing tissue to paper)

This may work on your Canon printer, I'd a test first. Hope this helps.

You do realize that tissue paper and toilet paper are not the same right?

The HP printer is a bubble jet, not a laser printer. Using a laser printer would burn the tissue paper or cloth.

Good luck. Hope this might help you, or someone may have had experience with this sort of thing. My wife uses family pictures in her quilts, so this is how I know about the freezer paper method.

That would be quite a mess.

There is a material called Gampi paper, a paper made in Japan. This material can be either hand made or machine made both coated and un coated for printing. Gampi paper also comes in thicknesses including a tissue paper material. These papers can be used in ink jet printers with stunning results. I print on these papers for myself and my clients with great results. I have even seen people print on paper bags and butcher paper for very different and interesting results. One supplier for Gampi paper is Hiromi paper located in Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. Using these materials opens a whole world of interesting and creative outlets.

Thank you for the tip on Gampi Paper. I'll keep it in mind, if I decide to use it in a project.
