Got a Canon T3I for Christmas and 3 lens for gifts. Canon 18-55 and 55-250. I also was given a Sigma 18-250 lens. Going to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in May....do I need to carry all 3 or will one lens be enough?
Thanks!

I like to travel light, but the 18-250 should get you the shots you want without changing lenses and getting dirt inside the camera.
I very much agree with Jerry, I bought a tamron 18-270 for my sl1 body with the intention of never taking it off.

Like Dave I have the Tamron 18-270, and use it 85% of the time
Thanks to all of you for your great replies. Almost makes me want to sell the 55-250 if not BOTH the Canon lenses.

Jerry, you are so right. I use to carry way to much stuff and never use it. Then I worried getting dirt in the camera if I changed a lens. This was a tough lesson to learn when I moved up from a big zoom point and shoot to DLSR. I'm still taking two lenses a wide and tele zoom when on a vacation. Decide what lens I will use for the day and set it up in the hotel room before going out for the day. It's working for me. But...just maybe this time next year I will have enough confidence to leave home with one lens.

Hopefully the roads will all be plowed; certainly you will have view points. Do check with the park to make sure that your desired points of interest are open; and take your winter coat.
I prefer to carry only the minimum so I would take only the Sigma. I grew up not far from there and envy your trip; share you pictures with us'
Well you have been given one piece of advice that can not be disputed. In the high mountains you can expect any type of weather. I have experienced snow storms on the 4th of July. And just before that having shorts on. Normally mornings evens cool and mid day warm.
Back to glass I take way too much, but never regret it. We all have shoot styles that are more relevant to the equipment that we are carrying. Like I get a new lens and do a one lens for a period of time. That way I know the properties of the glass.
What would you do at home. What would you take one block form you home, one subdivision away, the next town away.
That question may give you that answer. For me I have the case in the truck. I use it as a base.
